Ah, summer time... Nothing quite like it when you are a kid. Audrey is enjoying her first summer as we rapidly approach her first birthday. Wow, almost one year already... Audrey hopes that a few pictures now and then can ease the gap between the times when she can dazzle you in person! Don't forget, for even more pictures of Audrey and her big sister Sophie check out Sophie Belle.

Thanks for stopping by, now on with the show!

June 2008 - July 2008FlowerSummer time means lots of time to goof around, play out side, and explore the world. It seems to be even more fun when everything is so new. Audrey is growing so fast, and she is now exploring any and everything she can get her hands on. So much fun to watch the little sweetie grow. *Sniff*

July 2008FlowerNothing like a pool in the summer. Audrey is just like Sophie, a little fish who doesn't want to EVER leave the water. Chantal says she was the same way as a child, so I guess like Mother like Daughter...

June 2008SunA Baptism is one of those rituals that all parents like to subject their babies to. The rituals may change, but the motivation stays the same; Proud parents showing off their little bundle of joy to the rest of the community. Believe me, we are very proud and lucky to have our little Audrey.

May 2008 - June 2008Sand PailTowards the tail end of that first year of life there are so very many changes that little ones go thourgh. In what seems like an overnight transformation, Audrey has started crawling, standing, saying "Bah-Bah" and "Dah-Dah", feeding herself finger-foods, holding her own bottle, and even walking by pushing a walker around. Before you know it we'll be getting ready for college (...kidding...)! Audrey has become such a little charmer, with her infectious laugh and laid back personality. Just look at those big blue eyes and that super smile, we are very lucky to have such a happy little girl!

April 2008 - May 2008FlowersOur little Audrey is growing up so very fast. She has learned to pull herself up to a standing position already! While she isn't crawling yet, she is deffinately very close to it. Let me tell you, that is just what Chantal and I are looking forward to, two mobile children. Oh boy...

March 2008 - April 2008BallAh, bath time... When Audrey was little she hated the bath, now we can barely get her out of the tub she loves it so much. She loves to splash (mainly onto which ever parent is doing the bathing of her) and just scream with joy when she is in the tub. Put Audrey in the tub with Sophie and those two just have a great old time.

March 2008Easter EggsAnother first has come and gone, this time it was Audrey's first Easter. Audrey really seemed to enjoy all the festivities. Audrey is starting to develop a distinct personality, which makes it very fun to contrast her and her sister. Audrey seems very laid back when comapred to Sophie at the moment. I am sure this will change, and it will be fun to watch!

January 2008 - Febrary 2008PresentOnce again, it is the small things that mean so much. Audrey eating her first solid foods, the way Sophie and Audrey really seem to love one another, how Audrey smiles just like Chantal. The little nugget seems to be growing so fast, and it is (wait for it...) amazing to behold.

December 2007PresentThe Holidays have come and gone, and Audrey really seemed to enjoy her first Christmas. There were lots of lovely presents, and lots of good times with family. I think next year will be even more fun as Audrey will be much more aware of what is going on, and she can help Sophie open everyone's presents too!

November - December 2007HollyHappy Holidays everyone! This time of year is always exciting, but even more so when it is a little baby's first Christmas! I think Audrey is still a bit too young to really get what is going on, but none the less, she seems to be enjoying it all the same. We can't wait to see her open presents (granted, I think Sophie will be "helping" quite a bit with that). Audrey is growing fast, so we are trying to really enjoy the "baby" stage as long as we can (but we ARE very happy to be sleeping mostly through the night now)!

October - November 2007PumpkinHalloween is such a kid holiday, and while Audrey is still too little to really enjoy it, that doesn't stop us from dressing her up! I think Sophie had just as much fun dressing up in her own costume as she did seeing Audrey dressed up in her own. The sister dynamic is pretty cute to behold (at least right now when they REALLY like each other, who knows later on...). Having two children is exponentially more fun then we ever dreamed it could be.

September - October 2007FlowersYou forget how fast babies change from little lumps, to fully functioning happy little people. Audrey smiles, coos, interacts, sleeps a bit more and is overall a happy little baby. Did I mention she is cute as a button?

September 2007FlowersNew babies are cute, but they don't really do much other than eat, sleep, and need diaper changes. They do change an awful lot very quickly though, as you can see in this picture set, Audrey is starting to fill out. Although they say babies don't smile scocially for a couple of months, it is still so cute when they do, even if it is for no reason at all. We have been having fun watching Audrey change and grow, we hope you have been as well!

September 2007FlowersAudrey is a wonder, and we are so thankful to have her. Watching babies begin to become aware of their surroundings is fascinating. To see this little person begin to open their eyes and look around, interact with their world, and even seemingly to enjoy what they find is so heart warming that it is hard to really truly explain to someone who is not a parent. It is so very early yet in little Audrey's life, and yet Audrey being our second child, we kind of know what is in store. Seeing all of Audrey's "new" discoveries with this bit of foresight makes us really appreciate these milestones all the more.

September 2007FlowersIt is a little scary to leave the safe "Baby Cocoon" of the maternity ward and venture into the great unknown of new baby at your own home. Now all the responsibility of keeping this little, sweet, cute, new human being alive rests fully on your shoulders. It is good to have family nearby to help lend a hand, and it is fun to see their expressions when they see the new little one. However, one of the best things to witness is the pure joy and excitement in the new big sister when she saw Audrey for the first time!

September 2007FlowersAs parents of a new baby you kind of go photo crazy. This set of pictures were all taken within the first couple days of Audrey's life. The fine nurses, doctors and staff at Maine General Medical Center were all fantastic, and our short stay was great. We hope you enjoy taking a look at the newest little cutie in our family.
